Our 6-Step Process – Guaranteed to Make You Grin

Step 1: Get an in-home, on-the-spot consulation and quote

Your home isn’t cookie-cutter, and neither is our estimate. Our project manager will visit you in your home at your convenience, do a walk-through, evaluate the state of existing surfaces and paint, answer all your questions, and advise you on the available options. Then we’ll provide a comprehensive written estimate with paint info, cost, and schedule on the spot.

Step 2: Pick colours with the help of an expert

Once you’ve signed a service agreement, you’ll have the option to work with our professional colour consultant at no extra charge. This is much more than just an digital color tool that shows how your home will look in various different colours. Our consultant will advise you on how to build a unified colour palette that not only makes you the envy of neighbours, but also increases the long-term resale value of your home.

Step 3: Watch us prep the surface

For your exterior home painting, our time-tested approach includes power-washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and masking (we also protect all your doorways, shrubbery, and outdoor furniture with drop cloths). If the surface has been power-washed, we will give it adequate drying time – a critical step that is frequently ignored. For interior house painting, first we cover all the things that paint can spill on. Next we remove any wallpaper, wash, scrape and sand the walls, mask all the corners and millwork, do spot wall repairs, caulk seams, and finally, prime the surface.

Step 4: Relax while we paint your home

Now it’s time to paint. We’ll arrive on time with the painting crew and equipment. If specified, we’ll prime the exterior home surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the paint. We’ll start by painting trim and window frames, followed by the stucco or siding using an airless sprayer or brush/roller depending on the surface. We’ll apply two coats for an evenly coloured, long-lasting finish. For the interior, we’ll start by painting your ceilings, then move on to walls and trim, applying two coats of top quality low VOC paints, to give a clean, even finish that minimizes harsh odors. And since none of our staff play loud music or cuss on site, you can relax.

Step 5: Inspect the finished work

Once the painting is done, it’s time to clean-up by sweeping, bagging and disposing of any leftover materials or mess. If you are getting renovation work done by us (such as decking, driveway/pathway repair, gutter or window/door replacement), we’ll ensure everything is properly coordinated. You’ll then do a walkthrough inspection with your project manager to note any areas of concern and answer any questions about maintenance. Your project manager will leave you with a tidy binder with invoice, warranty, product/maintenance tips and contact information for future reference.
